July 31-August 4
8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Introduction to Montessori–Felicia Jefferson
For enrolled RMS Toddler and first year Primary Students
(Strongly recommended for new toddlers and first year Primary students; continuing toddlers welcome)
Children under the age of 2 are welcome to attend but must be accompanied by a parent or other adult caregiver for the duration of the camp.
New toddler and first year Primary RMS students are introduced to the Montessori classroom in a relaxed atmosphere. Familiarity with class materials, systems and routines will help new students transition into their classroom in the fall.
Toddler parents, if your child did not participate in Toddler Orientation (above), a parent or other adult caregiver must attend the first two days of toddler orientation camp for the entire morning (8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.). This allows your child to feel safe in the new environment and shows him/her that you trust us. Every child handles transitions differently and we may ask you to join us for more than two mornings if we believe your child will benefit from your presence.
Please send an extra set of clothes labeled with your child’s name.
New first year primary student parents are welcome to attend to learn more about the Montessori Classroom.
